Managed by BPR Properties, The Hotel Shattuck Plaza is a 199-room boutique hotel located in Downtown Berkeley, less than a 2 minute walk to the lively campus of the University of California Berkeley. The Hotel Shattuck Plaza welcomes its employees into its newly redesigned historic style with the perfect mix of contemporary design and vintage charm. To add to the flavor, the Hotel Shattuck Plaza proudly features FIVE, a lively restaurant serving California cuisine and creative cocktails that celebrate the local harvest and culture. 

 

What We Look For...

We are seeking a friendly, dedicated bellman to make a difference at our hotel by covering all bellmen, and concierge responsibilities: luggage services, restaurant/tour reservations, and hotel/city information.

 

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate correct procedures when greeting guests, checking them in and out, serving taxi requests, and/or directing traffic flow in front of the hotel.
  • Listen to guest concerns, solve problems and answer questions.
  • Deliver messages, packages, faxes, hotel items and any guest items as requested.
  • Maintain close scrutiny of guest's belongings at all times; when storing bags, issue proper claim check and maintain belongings in locked areas at all times.
  • Assure that all guests and luggage are safely transported to/from assigned destination.

 

The Model Qualifications:

  • High School graduate is preferred.
  • Previous bellman, shuttle driver, valet, customer service, and/or hospitality experience preferred.
